Movie theaters to screen “Closer”, “I Am Not Salvador”
TEHRAN – Moviegoers can opt for “Closer” directed by Mostafa Ahmadi and “I Am Not Salvador” by Manuchehr Haadi this weekend as the movies go on screen at Iranian theaters today.“Closer” starring Parsa Piruzfar and Pegah Ahangarani is the amazing story about a family reunion.
The comedy film “I Am Not Salvador” starring Reza Attaran and former Brazilian soccer player Rivaldo tells the story of an Iranian man who is invited to take a trip to Brazil with his family.
Naghmeye Isfahan to perform in Dushanbe
TEHRAN – Iranian traditional music band Naghmeye Isfahan is scheduled to perform concerts in Dushanbe, Tajikistan during February.
The concerts are part of the Iranian program for the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations that Iran organizes each year from February 1 to 11 to commemorate the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Tehran and Shiraz to host anti-violence art festival
TEHRAN – A number of Iranian artists will come together at centers in Tehran and Shiraz today to participate in the Anti-Violence and Anti-Extremism Art Festival.
According to Mehdi Naderi, the secretary of the festival, the event has been established to promote peace in the world.
Charsu Complex in Tehran will be hosting the three-day event. No specific location has been announced for the festival in Shiraz.
Tehran museum to showcase posters by Stephan Bundi
TEHRAN – The Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum will be playing host to an exhibition of posters by Swiss graphic designer Stephan Bundi from January 22 to February 9.
Bundi is scheduled to hold several workshops next week at the museum on the sidelines of the exhibit, which has been organized in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Tehran.
Hushang Kamkar’s new album released
TEHRAN -- Ravi Records has released composer Hushang Kamkar’s new album entitled “Pejman Gardens”.
A stringed orchestra led by Arsalan Kamkar recorded the album, which was composed in three movements.
Hushang Kamkar, who is the leader of Kamkars band, dedicated the album to his close friend and prominent musician, Ahmand Pejman.
“Pejman Gardens” was unveiled on Monday evening during ceremony at Tehran School, an art educational center.
